A graphic produced by Sky Sports yesterday revealed the players with the best minutes-to-goal ratios from Europe’s top 5 leagues in 2017.
Unsurprisingly, Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi sits atop the list, with an incredible record of a goal every 66 minutes.
He is closely followed by Bayern Munich hitman Robert Lewandowski, who’s average of a strike every 76 minutes is not too shabby in itself.
The next man on the list has been widely discussed in England of late, in the form of Tottenham Hotspur main man Harry Kane.
Having struggled to find his feet in August yet again, Kane has since notched 6 goals in all competitions in September, with his 4 Premier League strikes making it 1 goal every every 81 minutes in the English top-flight in 2017.
Next up is Chelsea man Alvaro Morata, who’s excellent minutes-per-goal ratio last season for Real Madrid has carried over into the Premier League.
Rounding out the list are born-again Monaco star Radamel Falcao, and Napoli sensation Dries Mertens.
This means that there is no room, somewhat surprisingly, for Real Madrid talisman Cristiano Ronaldo.
