Pepe impresses for Lille
Nicolas Pepe joined Lille in 2017 from fellow French outfit SC Angers, for a fee believed to be around £9m.
That £9m has since turned out to be somewhat of a bargain, given how well Pepe has performed over the past few seasons.
In 2017/18, the winger would score 14 and assist five in 38 games across all competitions.
This past campaign was even more impressive for Pepe. In 41 games, he would net 23 and assist 12.
Pepe is naturally a right winger, but he can also play as a centre-forward or behind the striker.

Amid his impressive stint with Lille, Pepe looks to be attracting the attention of some bigger clubs.
However, in a recent interview, Lille’s president claimed that Liverpool have held discussions with Pepe and his agents:
“I know there have been discussions with the player, not with us as a club, Liverpool has players in those positions. And I read that maybe there was players who leave, or not.
“I am not particularly focused on Liverpool. But it is true that there have been discussions with agents.” As quoted by RMC Sport.
Lille’s president also claims that there was some interest from Bayern Munich, although he adds that that was last winter:
“It was last winter, not much has happened on the market yet, Nico is a very special player.”
