A recent report from the English media suggests that Manchester City are making contingency plans in case of a Leroy Sane departure.
Sane & Bayern
Leroy Sane has been plying his trade in England for just shy of four years now.
Man City secured the German’s services from Schalke for a fee of around £37m.
And Sane has since gone on to light up the Premier League with his quick feet and electrifying pace. All told, the German international has scored 39 and assisted 45 across 139 appearances for the Manchester powerhouse.
The winger’s superb displays also saw him secure the PFA Young Player of the Year award following the 2017/18 campaign.
However, despite playing a crucial rule in the Citizens’ success in recent years, Sane’s future at the Etihad has been unclear for some time.
Sane was heavily linked with a move back to his home country of Germany last summer, with it reported that the winger was on the verge of joining Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich in August.
However, any potential transfer plans took a major hit when Sane suffered a ruptured ACL in a Community Shield clash versus Liverpool.
The Evening Standard even went as far as to claim that Man City are open to selling Essen-born Sane this summer, with it understood that the 24-year-old will be allowed to depart if he refuses to sign an extension to his current deal, due to expire in 2021.

Man City eyeing Bailey
And, as mentioned above, should Sane depart the Manchester powerhouse this summer, City already appear to have at least one named lined up as a potential replacement.
The man in question, according to the Daily Mail, is Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey.
Bailey made the move to Leverkusen back in January of 2017, and has since notched over 100 appearances for the German outfit, scoring 24 and assisting 13 across these ties.
As per the Mail, Bailey is emerging as a target for City should Sane indeed leave.
The Citizens are understood to have watched the Jamaican closely over the past couple of seasons, but the uncertainty surrounding Sane could see them finally cement their interest this summer.
The Mail goes on to claim that Bailey is valued at around £40m.
