It’s been a difficult start to the season for reigning champs Barca.
The Catalans are eighth in the table with four points from three games.
Valencia, also with four points on the board, are 10th in the standings.
Leo Messi out & injury timetable
In a blow for Barcelona, Leo Messi will again be missing in action against Valencia.
Messi has been sidelined with a calf problem at the start of the campaign.
According to Spanish daily Sport on Wednesday, Messi has no chance of playing against Los Che.
Sport also claim that Messi is hoping to return for Barcelona for their Champions League opener against Borussia Dortmund on September 17th.
In the event that Messi misses the BVB game, too, the Argentine could return against Granada in La Liga on September 21st.
Doubts over Luis Suarez
Sport also report that Luis Suarez could miss the Valencia game.
To be clear, while Messi has been ruled out of the weekend’s clash, Suarez remains in the frame to feature on Saturday.
Suarez has also been absent with a calf problem.

Barcelona’s possible attack vs Valencia
Antoine Griezmann is expected to lead Barca’s attack this weekend.
If Messi and Suarez both miss out, 21-year-old Carles Pérez could partner Griezmann.
