Leicester’s Brendan Rodgers ‘verbally agrees’ to become Manchester United manager

Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers is said to have verbally agreed to become Manchester United’s manager, according to a report on Sunday.

Ole under pressure

The future of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the Manchester United dugout has been called into question of late.

After signing Raphael Varane, Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo in one window, the Norwegian now has arguably United’s best squad since the Sir Alex Ferguson era.

Despite this, United have had a pretty poor 2021/22, which has included a 5-0 drubbing at the hands of Liverpool.

Following that game, it was claimed that Solskjaer had three games to save his job.

United would then beat Tottenham, draw with Atalanta and then be convincingly beaten by Manchester City on Saturday.

However, it appears as though United are actually pushing for the signing of Leicester’s Brendan Rodgers, who Caught Offside report has already verbally agreed to become their new manager:
