Leicester loanee Youri Tielemans gives Monaco future update

Tielemans unsure what future holds

Youri Tielemans arrived at Leicester City from Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco on a half-season loan in January.

Prior to joining Leicester, Tielemans had scored five and assisted one in 20 league games for Monaco this season.

Since moving on loan to the Foxes, the 22-year-old midfielder has proven to be quite the capture.

He has scored three and assisted five in 12 league outings and has been hugely impressive.

As a result, several clubs, including Leicester and Manchester United, have been linked with a permanent move for the Belgian.

Tielemans has since opened up on his future, admitting that he will likely return to Monaco unless something happens in the transfer market:

“I expect that I will return to Monaco in the summer, unless something’s moving.

“At the moment there’s nothing. If things are going well you want to keep it like that. I don’t know what Monaco will be asking, so I can’t talk about it.” As quoted by Sky Sports News.

Leicester vs Chelsea

Leicester face off against Chelsea in their final game of the 2018/19 season.

Tielemans was handed a start, in what could be his final match for Brendan Rodgers’ side.

Leicester started the day in 9th in the Premier League but could finish the season in 8th-place.

Chelsea, on the other hand, need to win to ensure that they stay in 3rd-spot.
