Leeds fans highlight the same concern as squad named for Newcastle clash

Leeds’ supporters have taken to social media in numbers this evening, to react to the latest matchday squad named by boss Marcelo Bielsa.

Whites wobbling

The Peacocks are of course set to return to action shortly.

In the opening fixture of the Premier League weekend, Bielsa and co. have made the trip to St. James’ Park, for a meeting with Newcastle United.

Leeds, for obvious reasons, will head into proceedings in search of all three points, having endured a less than ideal start to the new campaign.

After impressing the masses en route to a 9th-placed finish in their debut campaign back in the top-flight last time out, the Whites have since struggled, bagging just two points from an available twelve.

Their most recent outing, meanwhile,  saw tonight’s visitors put to the sword in altogether concerning fashion, in a 3-0 defeat at home to Liverpool.

It is not the starting line-up opted for by the Argentine, however, which has since piqued widespread attentions.

This, instead, has come in the form of Leeds’ bench at St. James’ Park.

Highlighting both the defensive injury crisis and lack of squad depth in the Peacocks’ ranks, a whole host of youngsters have taken their place alongside Bielsa’s first-team stars.

Many, in turn, have seen the funny side of things:

Others of a Leeds persuasion, however, have made clear their concerns, amid the widespread agreement that those in a position of power at Elland Road did not do enough to strengthen the club’s ranks this past summer:
