Leeds United head coach Jesse Marsch has, on Sunday, provided updates on the wellbeing of a number of key members of his squad.
The Peacocks were back in action earlier today, seeing out the club’s final preparatory fixture ahead of the new campaign.
And, when all was said and done, a positive day’s work ultimately culminated in Leeds emerging on the right side of a dominant scoreline.
Goals on the part of all of Rodrigo (3), Patrick Bamford (2) and Robin Koch guided the Yorkshire outfit to a 6-2 triumph over Cagliari of Italy’s Serie B.
As alluded to above, though, post-match, it was the names of those to have missed out at Elland Road which took their place centre stage in Jesse Marsch’s latest press conference.
A whole host of integral members of Leeds’ squad missed out on Sunday, owing to respective fitness issues.
With the club’s Premier League curtain-raiser now less than a week away, concerns surrounding the wellbeing of such players had inevitably begun to mount.
Marsch, though, for the most part went about easing such fears this evening, in providing positive updates on the likes of Liam Cooper, Adam Forshaw and Luis Sinisterra.
