Laurent Koscielny’s rumoured Arsenal to Bordeaux move & suspicious IG activity

Arsenal’s Laurent Koscielny & Bordeaux

L’Equipe have reported on Tuesday that Laurent Koscielny is keen on leaving Arsenal this summer.

The French paper have linked Koscielny, 33, with a switch to Ligue 1 club Bordeaux.

Bordeaux are keen on the Gunners centre-half, as they are poised to sell Jules Kounde to Sevilla in a reported 25 million euro deal.

L’Equipe say that the priority of Les Girondins is to replace Kounde with Koscielny.

Bordeaux’s Koscielny talks

It’s further reported that Bordeaux have been in contact with Koscielny “for several months”.

Crucially, L’Equipe detail that Koscielny has told Bordeaux that he’s “interested in their project.”

Koscielny’s price tag

L’Equipe indicate that Koscielny is so revved up to join Bordeaux that he’s planning to ask Arsenal to release him from his current contract.

Koscielny’s deal with the Gunners expires next summer.

Should Arsenal balk at that suggestion, the Gunners centre-half is reportedly set to command a 10 million euro transfer fee.

Koscielny’s Instagram activity & Bordeaux

Has Koscielny already dropped a hint that his move to Bordeaux could be on?

It’s been claimed on social media that Koscielny recently began following Bordeaux, along with a real estate agency in the Bordeaux area, before the Arsenal defender opted to unfollow those accounts.

Koscielny’s Arsenal career

The French defender has been at Arsenal for nine years now, playing 353 times for the Gunners.

His time on the pitch, though, is starting to get trimmed back.

Despite featuring 10 times in the Europa League, Koscielny only made 17 appearances in the Premier League last season.

Koscielny is known to suffer from chronic Achilles problems.

Those injury problems forced Koscielny to miss France’s triumphant 2018 World Cup winning campaign in Russia.
