Arsenal’s Laurent Koscielny & Bordeaux
According to a couple of reports out of France this weekend, Laurent Koscielny seems to be edging close to his Arsenal exit.
Koscielny is being tipped with a move to join Ligue 1 side Bordeaux.
Yahoo France Sport reporter Manu Lonjon has confirmed that Koscielny is trying to leave Arsenal for Bordeaux.
However, Manu Lonjon also pointed out that there’s a sticking point in the deal, as Koscielny has a year to run on his Gunners contract.
Koscielny tenterait de se libérer …. pour Bordeaux.
Reste à solutionner sa dernière année de contrat. Rdv dans les 48h avec Arsenal.

At the same time, local Bordeaux paper Sud Ouest are also suggesting that Koscielny’s move from Arsenal may be close.
Sud Ouest report that the centre-half has been in talks with the club about his transfer.
However, it remains unclear what will happen regarding Koscielny’s contract.
Koscielny should sign for Bordeaux soon enough with the club optimistic the deal will happen according to @sudouest

Previously, reports suggested that Koscielny wants Arsenal to waive the final year of his deal, to allow the 33-year-old to move as a free agent.
Arsenal don’t appear to be interested in that option.
Koscielny, the club captain, refused to travel with the rest of the Arsenal squad on their US tour this summer.
Arsenal/Koscielny talks late last season looked +ve. Back from break, asked for release, refused. Relayed tour decision Wed, confirmed @ Colney today. Flight 1230 without him. Not stripped of captaincy yet, must train or breach contract. #AFC have no offers, he does if free agent

Taking on the Viola in the International Champions Cup, 20-year-old Eddie Nketiah broke the deadlock after 15 minutes.
