No Manuel Lanzini, no Andy Carroll: West Ham probable XI vs Stoke

West Ham vs Stoke City

The Premier League action continues on Monday night at the London Stadium.

In a relegation six pointer, West Ham United host Stoke City.

West Ham are 15th in the Premier League with 34 points from 32 games.

Indeed, the Irons are on the up. The 3-0 win over Southampton was boosted by a 1-1 draw at Chelsea.

Stoke are second bottom of the division with 27 points from 33 games.

The Potters have lost their last four matches in a row.

No Manuel Lanzini, no Andy Carroll

The Times and the Guardian have both had a stab predicting the line-ups for Monday’s Premier League clash.

West Ham striker Andy Carroll is poised to make his comeback from an ankle injury on Monday against Stoke.

While Carroll is unlikely to be in the Irons starting XI, the former England international could be on the bench.

Carroll will hope to complete another injury-strewn season by featuring in West Ham’s last six matches of the campaign.

Argentine playmaker Manuel Lanzini should also return for West Ham against Stoke.

Lanzini missed the Chelsea match with a knee injury, but that’s now passed.

Both the Times and the Guardian believe that Carroll and Lanzini will be left out the West Ham XI for the Stoke match.

Marko Arnautovic and Joao Mario are tipped to start in attack for the Irons.

Stoke City team news

Stoke will be without Charlie Adam who is still serving a four match suspension which he received against Everton.

Eric Choupo-Moting and Lee Grant are both out of action with injuries whilst Ibrahim Afellay has fallen out of favour with Stoke boss Mark Hughes.
