Chelsea legend Frank Lampard has had his say on tonight’s Champions League clash between Tottenham and Real Madrid at the Bernabeu.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side have impressed in the Champions League so far but come up against their biggest test this evening.
They come face to face with Real Madrid, the defending champions and they will have to bring their best ever performance to bring home three points.
Though, Chelsea legend Frank Lampard doesn’t think Spurs have the bottle to manage the occasion on the biggest stage in world football.
Real Madrid are struggling in La Liga at the moment but they have still won every game in the Champions League so far.
Spurs go into the game off the back of five wins in all Competitions and will be looking to overthrow the champions of Europe.
“There will be lessons for all of the Spurs players and the atmosphere will be daunting, to say the least,” Lampard explained.
“This young squad will have a similar feeling to the one I had with Chelsea when we faced Barcelona for the first time in 2005 and they had Ronaldinho and Samuel Eto’o in the side.”
“Not much is expected of them and, if the worst happens, they will have other opportunities in the group to go through.”
“They need to accept Real will have most of the possession and use the counter-attack, the ability of Kane, to try and score there.”
“You have to adapt your game, but Pochettino has the nous to do that.”

While tonight will no doubt be the hardest of Spurs’ season, they have been handed a huge boost for the clash.
That is because two of their key players have been passed fit for the game.
