Kylian Mbappe & Neymar updates before the Real Madrid return leg

Real Madrid 3 – PSG 1

The big topic of conversation on French TV show Telefoot on Sunday was how PSG lost 3-1 at Real Madrid in the Champions League.

One of the big decisions chewed over on the broadcast was Unai Emery’s choice to leave Thiago Silva on the bench.

Many viewers on the night seemed more upset by Emery subbing Edinson Cavani out of the match for right-back Thomas Meunier.

PSG took the lead through Adrien Rabiot. But Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice and Marcelo bagged the other as Real took firm control of the tie.

Can PSG turn the tie in the second leg on home soil?

Kylian Mbappe & Neymar

Telefoot dropped two pieces of news on their show regarding Kylian Mbappe and Neymar.

Starting with Mbappe, it’s now been confirmed that the striker has officially joined PSG from Monaco.

PSG circumvented FFP rules by loaning Mbappe from Monaco last summer, with a pre-agreed arrangement to sign the teenager for £166 million.

Mbappe has agreed a four-year contract to remain at PSG.

That’s because PSG are now officially guaranteed to stay in Ligue 1 for next season, so their option/obligation to permanently buy Kylian Mbappe from Monaco is active.

And what about Neymar’s future in Paris?

There’s constant speculation that Neymar isn’t the happiest playing in Ligue 1. And rumours of a possible switch to Real Madrid don’t appear to be going away.

Yet Telefoot have told their viewers that even is PSG lose to Madrid, Neymar will remain at the club next season.

Some may be alarmed that Telefoot even needed to stress that point this Sunday.
