Is there any player in the history of football that has seen a rise quite like Kylian Mbappe’s?
With a string of major honours already on his resume, PSG’s 19-year-old sensation is quickly becoming football’s new poster boy.
Adding to the awards, Mbappe has become just the fourth footballer to grace the front cover of Time Magazine.
He joins Lionel Messi, Neymar and Mario Balotelli on the prestigious list.
Out now: My @TIME international cover interview on @KMbappe. I asked Mbappé how he’s handling mega-fame, at 19. He tells me he clings to home truths from mom, says the key is “respect, humility, lucidity.” Merci Kylian et la famille Mbappé. pic.twitter.com/lbMSO0u5xH

Mbappe’s rise to superstardom
It has been quite the two years for France’s latest star.
Mbappe’s stock skyrocketed when PSG paid Ligue 1 rivals Monaco £166million for his services.
Leading the Paris based side to yet another domestic crown, his profile skyrocketed after enjoying a stellar World Cup.
Along with lifting the biggest honour in world football, Mbappe was also named Young Player of the Tournament.
Speaking with Time, the hottest commodity in Europe discussed his whirlwind rise.
“My life has been totally turned upside down. I am happy, and I am living the life I always dreamed of.
I think I might have missed out on something. I did not have the moments of so-called normal people during adolescence, like going out with friends, enjoying good times.”
While Mbappe may have missed out on some things growing up, all his sacrifices are clearly paying off.
Already picking up two Ligue 1 titles before his 19th birthday, he has also been shortlisted for the 2018 Ballon d’Or nominees.

In his start to the new campaign with PSG, Mbappe has only gone from strength to strength.
In his opening five Ligue 1 games, the worlds most expensive teenager has eight goals and three assists to his name.
Quickly proving to be one of the most talented players in Europe, he has also recorded two Champions League goals in as many appearances.
While he may still be a teenager, Mbpape has endeared himself to many with his humble mentality off the pitch.
The recently crowned World Cup winner gained plaudits for donating his £378,000 earnings to a Prais based charity.
Adamant to be a role model, Mbappe also told Time that respect and humility will always be a key part in his character.
“I have learned that the biggest stars and the greatest players are the most humble ones, the ones who respect people the most.
You always have to keep some lucidity,
There are three criteria: respect, humility and lucidity.”
