Klopp gives Fabinho & Jota updates ahead of Liverpool’s meeting with Sheffield United
Jurgen Klopp has provided updates on several Liverpool players ahead of their meeting with Sheffield United.
Sheffield United vs Liverpool
Liverpool are back in Premier League action on Sunday evening.
The Reds will face off with Sheffield United at Bramall Lane as they look to revive their faltering Premier League campaign.
An injury-stricken Liverpool have now fallen to defeat in their last four Premier League ties.
They have also, after a sensational unbeaten run there, now lost their last four meetings at Anfield.
Such dismal form has seen the Merseysiders slip down to 6th in the Premier League table, a full five points adrift of 4th and 19 points behind Manchester City, who are on course for their 3rd league title in four years.
On paper, though, even given their dismal form of late, Liverpool should be able to pick up a win this weekend.
Sheffield United are sat dead bottom of the English top-flight, 14 points from safety.
The Blades have also won just three league games all season and are the lowest scorers in the PL, notching just 15 goals in 25 outings.
Jurgen Klopp on Fabinho, Jota & Henderson
Prior to Sunday’s game, Jurgen Klopp held his latest pre-match press conference on Friday afternoon.
During the presser, Jurgen Klopp expressed his hope that Jordan Henderson, who has undergone surgery recently, can play a few more games this season:
“With so many injured players, who are leaders, Virgil, Milly, Joe, Joel, they are all influential. Best case scenario I don’t know. Not a quick one but a possibility to play a few games this season. We will see.”

The German also provided updates on Fabinho and Diogo Jota:
“Diogo trained twice and looks very good but it’s been a long term [out]. Looks promising.
“Fab not yet with the team. That can happen tomorrow. First session and the same for Milner. That’s it.”
