Kenya vs Senegal live streaming: Match preview

This is a straight fight for second spot and a place in the round of 16.

Kenya are participating in their sixth AFCON but they’ve previously won just one of 14 games and have never got through the group stages.

It looked like it was going to be another miserable campaign for The Harambee Stars after they lost 2-0 to Algeria on matchday one.

They then took on Tanzania on Thursday in a must win game.

After just six minutes, Tanzania were in front after some questionable goalkeeping from Patrick Matasi.

Just before half time though, they were level.

Ayub Masika’s free-kick caused havoc and Michael Olunga scored a spectacular over-head kick.

They were not level for long.

Less than sixty seconds in fact and Tanzania found themselves in front once more.

2-1 at the interval.

A big second half needed.

Just after the hour mark, Masika was the provider once more with Johanna Omolo this time heading in.

With just ten minutes to go, the game was level but a draw would’ve been no good for anybody.

Step forward Michael Olunga once again.

His snap shot went in off the post and secured a famous 3-2 win for Kenya.

Can they cause an even bigger shock and get a result here?

As for Senegal, they’re in a perilous position which they were not anticipating to be in.

The Lions of Téranga were so dominant on matchday one and only beat Tanzania 2-0.

Keita Baldé Diao and Krépin Diatta getting the goals.

However, on Thursday, Aliou Cissé’s side were very underwhelming and were edged out 1-0 by Algeria.

That leaves them needing at least a draw here to secure their place in the round of 16.

The loser of this game could still progress in third-place with three points but that’s a risk neither side want to take.

Senegal’s squad features Kalidou Koulibaly, Idrissa Gana Gueye, Cheikhou Kouyaté, Sadio Mané, Ismaïla Sarr and many other top level players.

The quality they have should see them to a win here.
