Kane, Davies and Rose fitness updates ahead of Spurs’ clash with Burnley

Tottenham have this afternoon provided fitness updates on a quartet of the club’s stars, ahead of their upcoming meeting with Burnley.

Burnley vs Tottenham

Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs are set to travel to Turf Moor to take on Burnley in Saturday’s Premier League lunchtime kick-off.

Hosts Burnley will head into proceedings on a vastly-improved run of form of late.

The Clarets are unbeaten in any of their last 7 league outings, a run which has seen Sean Dyche’s men climb above the likes of Newcastle and Cardiff to 15th in the English top-flight table.

Tottenham, meanwhile, are currently in the midst of a superb run of form of their own.

The North Londoners have racked up 4 straight wins across all competitions, including a 3-0 drubbing of Borussia Dortmund in the first-leg of their Champions League last-16 tie with the Bundesliga leaders last week.

Tottenham’s injury updates

Spurs’ streak comes despite the capital giants dealing with a number of major problems on the injury-front.

Star attackers Harry Kane and Dele Alli have both been sidelined for over a month now, blows which have seen Heung-min Son forced to carry the majority of the attacking load for Mauricio Pochettino’s men.

But, in a timely boost for the Londoners, Harry Kane has made a return to the training pitch ahead of schedule, with Tottenham having provided brief updates on the fitness of both the English hitman and defender Ben Davies a short time ago:

Spurs’ boss Pochettino, meanwhile, has since confirmed that Kane could well feature versus Burnley in 2 days’ time:

Danny Rose, who has been suffering with an illness this week, remains a major doubt to line out at Turf Moor, though:

Finally, Dele Alli is continuing to work towards a return to full fitness:
