Juventus vs Manchester United betting tips: Champions League match preview, predictions & odds

Juventus vs Manchester United prediction: Juventus 2-0 Manchester United

It’s the rematch at Allianz Stadium.

Juve were just too good for Manchester United a fortnight ago so can José Mourinho’s men pull off a famous victory?

Juventus vs Manchester United: Who will win?

As expected, Juve are big favourites to win at 4/7.

Manchester United are 5/1 to repeat what they did in ’99 and win in Turin.

A draw is 29/10.

Juve’s defence is formidable and the Serie A champions to win and to keep a clean sheet is 6/4.

Cristiano Ronaldo celebrates goal vs Genoa

Cristiano Ronaldo has never lost against Manchester United since leaving the club in 2009. Portugal’s record goalscorer is 3/1 to score first, 11/10 to net anytime and 10/3 to bag a brace?

Paulo Dybala scored the only goal at Old Trafford. He’s 4/1 to score first and 11/8 to score anytime.

Anthony Martial has been in superb form for Manchester United. The Frenchman is 10/1 to score first and 10/3 to net anytime.

Both Ronaldo and Dybala to score is 7/2.

Juventus vs Manchester United: Match preview

Juventus’ form has been imperious this season.

Massimiliano Allegri’s team are yet to lose any of the 14 games in all competitions.

In fact, La Vecchia Signora have won 10 of their 11 Serie A matches, their only blip a 1-1 home draw with Genoa.

That includes Saturday’s 3-1 home win over Cagliari.

This means that they are six points clear of their nearest challengers Internazionale and Napoli.

It’s been a similar story in the Champions League too.

Despite having Cristian Ronaldo sent off after just half an hour, two Miralem Pjanić penalties saw them win 2-0 at the Mestalla against Valencia.

Matchday 2 was the Paulo Dybala show.

The Argentine scored a hat-trick as Young Boys were beaten 3-0 at Allianz Stadium.

Dybala was on the scoresheet early on in the reverse fixture too when he drilled a half volley past de Gea.

That was the only goal of the match as they outclassed Man United.

Another win over the Premier League side would ensure they finish in top spot and they’ll be very confident of securing that victory.

More misery for Mourinho?

Have Manchester United turned a corner?

They’ve amassed 10 points from their last 4 Premier League matches to climb the table.

A comeback 3-2 win over Newcastle was followed by a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge and then a 2-1 victory over Everton.

In the first half at Bournemouth on Saturday, they were abysmal and found themselves a goal down.

Nevertheless, goals from Martial and a late winner from Marcus Rashford kept the momentum going.

However, they’ve still only kept one Premier League clean sheet all season and, if they’re to have any chance of leaving Italy with anything, their defence is going to have to vastly improve.

They have work to do in the Champions League though if they’re to get through.

A 3-0 win in Bern over Young Boys was followed by a goalless draw with Valencia but their future remains within their own hands.

Can their recent good form continue?

Massimiliano Allegri has an embarrassment of riches to pick from.

Wojciech Szczęsny has kept 6 clean sheets so far this season and is yet to concede a goal in the Champions League.

João Cancelo will continue to deputise as right-back with Mattia De Sciglio only just returning to full fitness.

34 year-old Giorgio Chiellini and 31 year-old Leonardo Bonucci were rocks at the back at Old Trafford and will be a formidable due to bypass once more.

Former Liverpool midfielder Emre Can has missed the last three matches through illness.

Holding midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur caught the eye of many in the first game and will look to run the show once again alongside Miralem Pjanić and Blaise Matuidi.

Centre-forward Mario Mandžukić is still out after distorting his ankle in training.

That’ll mean that Cristiano Ronaldo will play as the central striker.

Paulo Dybala will be on one flank but it could be any one of three on the other.

Juan Cuadrado got the nod in Manchester and, after coming off the bench to score on Saturday, is likely to start once more.

Both Douglas Costa and Federico Bernardeschi will be threats if called upon off the bench.

Juve are arguably the best team in Europe right now and should be far too good for flaky Manchester United.

José Mourinho appears to have found a winning formula in recent games and it would be a major surprise if he was to tinker.

David de Gea has only kept 1 league clean sheet so far; he managed 18 en route to winning the golden glove in the last campaign.

With Phil Jones injured with a torn muscle bundle and Eric Bailly out of favour, Victor Lindelöf and Chris Smalling have become the first choice pairing at the back.

€52 million summer singing from Shakhtar Donetsk Fred got a rare start a the weekend.

However, he was woful and they improved dramatically when he was replaced by Ander Herrera.

Therefore, the Spaniard has surely done enough to warrant just his third start of the season.

Marcus Rashford did come off the bench to score the winner at Bournemouth but he might have to play a substitutes role once again.

Juan Mata’s ball retention ability will be an asset.

Anthony Martial has been in superb form in recent weeks.

He’s scored five goals in five games so can he get another here?

Romelu Lukaku’s form in contrast has been poor.

He missed the last match because he ‘felt something’ but, after Alexis Sánchez’s lively performance through the middle, surely the Chilean will start there again.

Does this Manchester United team have enough quality to compete with the best?
