Rugani & Arsenal
Daniele Rugani has spent the past four seasons with Juventus.
When he signed for the Serie A champions, Rugani looked to have the talent to eventually cement himself as a first-team regular for the club.
However, the Italian has struggled for game time for much of his stint in Turin.
In total, Rugani has played 87 games across all competitions for Juve, with the centre-back having featured just 15 times in Serie A last season.
During the summer window, it was reported that Arsenal had tried to land Rugani on loan, which Juve apparently rejected.
The Evening Standard have now, on Wednesday, provided a fresh update on the Rugani situation.
As per the ES, Juve are said to be open to letting Rugani leave, but they want around £40m for his services.
Emery on centre-backs
The report from the Evening Standard also mentioned that Arsenal are keen on RB Leipzig’s Dayot Upamecano. But the German outfit are said to be asking for £70m.
The Gunners have been handed another boost in their centre-back search, though, as reports emerged on Wednesday afternoon that David Luiz wants a move to the club:

Unai Emery has also recently confirmed that Arsenal are attempting to sign a new centre-back:
“We tried to sign some important and expensive players for our defence. But we cannot do that and other second line players don’t make us really, really convinced to sign them.
“We have centre-backs, we also have one young one in Dino Mavropanos, with everyone speaking about him and how he can improve, and Rob Holding, but if we can in the last day we are going to try to sign another centre-back with the capacity to help us, so we can have a good balance with attacking and defending players.” As quoted by football.london.
