What Jose Mourinho said at the Europa League final

The source for the Justin Kluivert to Man United rumours was last season’s Europa League final.

Man United beat Ajax in the showpiece, while everyone saw what happened with Jose Mourinho and Kluivert after the game.

TV cameras caught the Special One have a chat with the Ajax starlet, and indeed rumours at the time claimed that Mourinho was tapping the teenager up.

But, in the latest edition of FourFourTwo magazine, Justin Kluivert has explained what Mourinho said to him after that game:

He said it was nice to see me again after such a long time, because he had known me when I was a baby. And he said it was nice to see that I was doing well.

Patrick Kluivert & Oxford United

While it’s unlikely that Justin Kluivert will be in England anytime soon, could his day be UK bound?

It’s been reported this week that Dutch legend Patrick Kluivert could become the new Oxford United manager.

Kluivert, 41, enjoyed an incredible playing career with the likes of Ajax, AC Milan and Barcelona. He also spent time in England with Newcastle United.

But Kluivert’s managerial career is, so far, less glamorous. He’s been an assistant at AZ, NEC and the Dutch national team. He also had a brief spell at as the manager for Curacao.
