Jurgen Klopp on playing Barcelona

Viasport spoke to Jurgen Klopp after the Porto match.

The German was asked for his thought ahead of the upcoming semifinal against Barcelona.

Klopp, who insisted his focus is now on Cardiff, offered the following comments on the Catalans:

Honestly, the only thing I am thinking about is Cardiff on Sunday.

For these two boys (Luis Suarez and Philippe Coutinho) it is very special, because they are Liverpool legends.

But I don’t think it will be a friendly game, we have to fight and work and they will do that as well.

It is a wonderful game, Liverpool vs Barcelona in the semi-finals. Now let’s try to do the best there and we will see what happens.

Virgil van Dijk on facing Leo Messi

Virgil van Dijk also spoke to Jan Aage Fjortoft after the Porto game.

The Dutch defender was asked about how Liverpool can stop Barcelona and Leo Messi. VVD replied:

I don’t know. We will see. It’s going to be a great matchup for all of us.

We’re really happy to be in the semi finals again, and that’s all I can say really.

It’s never one vs one, it’s never just me against a particular striker, it’s us against everyone.

We know it’s going to be very hard, I think he’s the best player in the world.
