Jurgen Klopp reveals plans for two Liverpool games in 48 hours

Quick turn around

Jurgen Klopp has been speaking this week about his plans for the New Year period in which Liverpool will play two games in 48 hours.

The German boss will need to be very careful to ensure there are no slip-ups and that players do not suffer from fatigue.

With the Christmas period has only just passed, the new year period throws up several spanners and it’s hard for clubs to navigate.

Liverpool will come up against Leicester and Burnley in the space of 48 hours, two teams in very good form.

Not only that, an FA Cup tie with Merseyside rivals Everton could also be a problem for the side if they are to keep their best players fit.

That could mean some serious rotation in the squad and Klopp has now been speaking about how exactly he is going to deal with that period.

“You cannot learn from it, you only learn to accept it. That’s all,” Klopp explained.

“We have to be fully concentrated on the Leicester game and after the Leicester game we have a few hours to ‘collect the bones’ to see who is able to play against Burnley and then we’ll make the line-up.

“It’s different. We don’t moan about it. We play Leicester, we play Burnley and we play Everton – no problem with that.”

Neil Warnock makes hilariously bad claim about Liverpool’s Van Dijk

While Liverpool will be struggling to rotate, they will now have one more player to rotate.

That man is new signing Virgil Van Dijk who will join the club on the 1st January.

The £75million man was confirmed as Liverpool’s first signing yesterday and it is the biggest deal for a defender in history.

Now, Cardiff manager Neil Warnock has made an insane claim about the deal, laughable even.
