Jurgen Klopp provides Liverpool fitness update ahead of Chelsea/Thiago available to feature vs Blues

Chelsea vs Liverpool

Premier League football is of course set to return to our screens on Saturday afternoon.

The weekend’s marquee clash comes in the form a meeting between Chelsea and Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.

With Liverpool having clinched domestic supremacy last season, and Chelsea’s summer spending spree showing no signs of slowing down, many no doubt expect the two clubs to be in the thick of the title race this term.

As such, both managers will no doubt be keen to get one over on their rivals early in the campaign.

And, if the matchup plays out anything like the last one between these two heavyweights, we are most certainly in for a treat. Liverpool and Chelsea were involved in an enthralling 5-3 clash at Anfield back in July, with Frank Lampard and co. no doubt eager to exact revenge at Stamford Bridge this time around.

Klopp provides Liverpool squad fitness update

Ahead of what should be a thoroughly entertaining affair, Jurgen Klopp has provided a fitness update on his squad.

The German did so in his latest press conference, and the news delivered was fairly positive:

“Intense week. A few little things here and there but in the moment should be OK.

“Nobody is coming back or whatever, and the rest we have to see. So, still two days to go – two training sessions – but for the moment, we seem OK.”

In an even bigger boost for the Reds, meanwhile, it is understood that the club sealed Thiago’s signing in time for the Spaniard to be available to feature vs Chelsea:
