Jurgen Klopp predicts “people will write books” about Liverpool man after Manchester United performance

Jurgen Klopp predicts “people will write books” about Liverpool man after Manchester United performance

Liverpool humiliate Manchester United at Old Trafford

Liverpool taught Manchester United a lesson in football humility as they demolished the Red Devils 5-0 in Manchester.

Amid the rubble, questions continue to be asked about the future of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who has been backed to remain in charge for the next week at least.

It was, however, Mohamed Salah who, as he so often does, stole the headlines on the day. The Egyptian provided three goals and an assist, as well as looking unplayable for much of the game, and could have had more had the Reds not decided to show mercy after the hour mark.

The result leaves Manchester United eight points off the league leaders Chelsea, while Jurgen Klopp’s side sit just a point behind the Blues after nine games.

“People will write books” about Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino, Klopp predicts

Despite Salah’s heroics, it was another player that Jurgen Klopp singled out for praise in the aftermath of the encounter. The man in question? Recalled forward Roberto Firmino.

The Brazilian was impressive and was able to drag the Manchester United defenders out of position regularly as they looked to stay tight to the striker, in turn leaving plenty of space for other players to do the damage.

And Klopp did not hold back in his praise, saying:

“Firmino was outstanding. Mo gets a lot of attention, rightly so. Bobby for people with football knowledge, people will write books about how he interprets the false 9. We don’t say he invented it but it looks like at times. It was insane.”

Will Firmino find goalscoring touch again this season?
