What a comment
Jurgen Klopp has admitted that he told his Liverpool team to train naked as a joke due to the hype that surrounded Mohamed Salah.
The Egyptian has become a revelation at Anfield this season and has now scored 40 goals in all competitions this season.
The player is also looking to break more records before the end of the season.
Though, with his incredible form comes the hype and attention that surrounds it and it was evident ahead of the Champions League clash with Manchester City.
Now, Jurgen Klopp has revealed that he joked with his team that they could go out and train naked and no one would care because they were focussed on Salah.
‘It is a really good group and, with Mo, everyone really likes the hype around him, all the boys,’ said Klopp.
‘When we came out for the Champions League training before Man City, I said, “Come on everybody, let’s go out naked because no one will realise — they are just looking at Mo”.
Champions League hopes
That hype certainly isn’t going to die down going into Liverpool’s Champions League semi-final with Roma this season.
That is because Salah will be coming up against his former side for the first time since leaving Italy.
Though, Jurgen Klopp won’t be thinking about that after admitting ‘it is all okay’.
‘No problem. And Mo is so thankful. Now we go to Rome. I don’t think the hype will be a little bit less. But it is all okay.’ he explained.
‘The boys created the atmosphere in the group. In a successful team, there is always a good atmosphere. Other teams can have very good players, but no group.’
