Liverpool vs Napoli
Liverpool take on Napoli this Tuesday in a must-win match for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
After losing all three of their Champions League away games this season, Liverpool sit third in their group and are in danger of not qualifying.
Liverpool’s final group game this year is against 1st place Napoli, at Anfield.
To qualify from Group C, Liverpool must beat Napoli either 1-0 or by two or more goals should Napoli score.
With PSG facing Red Star in the other Group C game, even if Liverpool beat Napoli they are still only likely to finish second in their group.
However, the Reds have just gone top of the Premier League this weekend so they will be full of confidence heading into the game.
Mane & Lovren injury updates
Prior to the UCL clash, Jurgen Klopp has been speaking to the media and has provided injury updates on both Sadio Mane and Dejan Lovren.
Mane was rested as Liverpool beat Burnley 2-1 and was only used as a sub in their 4-0 hammering of Bournemouth.
But Klopp has stated that Mane is able to play vs the Serie A side.
However, Dejan Lovren is a lot less likely to feature on Tuesday evening:
“Sadio can deal with the pain, so that’s cool. We have two sessions still to come. We will see if Dejan [can be a part of training].”
Mane is back in contention for a start vs Napoli in the UCL, but a decision on Lovren [concussion] will be made closer to kick-off. “Sadio can deal with the pain, so that’s cool. We have two sessions still to come. We will see if Dejan [can be a part of training].” #LFC
