Jurgen Klopp expecting to be without two key Liverpool players vs Watford

Liverpool appear to have been dealt some concerning personnel news ahead of their clash with Watford.

Watford vs Liverpool

Premier League football returns to our screens later this week. Liverpool will take on Watford in Saturday’s early Premier League kick-off.

The Reds are set to head into the game as the only side unbeaten in the English top-flight at present.

However, three draws in a row meant that Chelsea were able to overtake Jurgen Klopp’s side atop of the table.

Despite this, the Merseyside outfit are still obvious favourites to win on Saturday against the Hornets.

Watford have had a mixed start to the season, having won two drawn one and lost four in seven outings so far this term.

The Hornets are also set to have a new manager in the dugout this week, as former Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri takes charge of his first game as Watford boss.

Liverpool likely to be without two key players vs Watford

Ahead of the game, it has been revealed that Liverpool are expecting to be without two key players on Saturday.

Said duo, as revealed by the Telegraph, are Alisson and Fabinho, both of whom are currently away on international duty with Brazil.

And with Brazil’s final tie of the break not taking place until the early hours of Friday morning, the pair featuring vs Watford less than 48 hours later does not seem at all likely:

Klopp expects to be without Alisson Becker and Fabinho for their 12.30pm game against Watford on Saturday as they face Uruguay in a World Cup qualifier in the early hours of Friday
