Jurgen Klopp confirms Salah & Robertson are available to face Crystal Palace

Jurgen Klopp has recently moved to provide injury updates on four Liverpool players ahead of Crystal Palace.

Liverpool vs Crystal Palace

Wednesday’s marquee Premier League outing sees Liverpool welcome Crystal Palace to Anfield.

Should Liverpool have emerged victorious from the most recent Merseyside derby, then a win on Wednesday would have seen Klopp’s outfit clinch their first-ever Premier League title.

That obviously will not be the case, due to Liverpool being held to a 0-0 draw by their bitter rivals.

But Liverpool will still no doubt be keen to see off Crystal Palace and move one step closer to the title.

The Eagles are likely to put up a tough fight, though. Roy Hodgson’s side were in fine form pre-coronavirus, and that form continued this past weekend vs Bournemouth.

Liverpool injury update

As a result, Klopp will no doubt be keen to have a fully fit squad at his disposal to take on Palace.

And after Klopp’s pre-Palace press conference on Tuesday, Liverpool fans will be glad to hear two of their top stars look set to be fit and ready.

Both Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson didn’t feature vs Everton last week due to fitness issues, with the latter not even making the bench.

However, when speaking on Tuesday, the German tactician confirmed that both of the aforementioned duo are available to face Palace:

“[Mo] trained yesterday completely normal, he will train today completely normal I would guess and then he is available. What I make with the line-up, you have to wait until tomorrow.

“It is the same with Robbo; he trained yesterday completely normal as well, so it’s the same.”

On a slightly less positive note, Klopp stated that both Joel Matip and James Milner will miss out:

“Millie and Joel will not be available for tomorrow. We have to figure out exactly how long it will take, but tomorrow they will not play.”
