Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has today broken an all-time Premier League record, on the back of picking up his latest Manager of the Month award.
Liverpool march on
Klopp’s Reds continued their remarkable march towards the English top-flight title last month.
In total, the European champions played out 5 league fixtures across January.
These outings saw Liverpool secure 15 points, courtesy of 5 wins.
This streak included a pair of hard-fought away victories over Tottenham and Wolves, and a 2-0 win over the one club who had taken points from the Premier League leaders to this point in the campaign, Manchester United.
Making Liverpool’s stellar January even more impressive was the fact that they conceded just a solitary goal, whilst finding the back of the net on 9 occasions.
As such, as outlined above, it has come as little surprise to see Jurgen Klopp today named as the Premier League Manager of the Month.
An announcement across social media a short time ago saw the German tactician crowned:
Klopp’s latest MOTM accolade, though, comes as a special one for the Liverpool boss.
Remarkably, of the 6 such awards handed out to this point in the campaign, Klopp has secured 5.
And, as has since been highlighted by Liverpool, this marks the most Manager of the Month awards ever racked up by a Premier League tactician over the course of a single season.
