Liverpool v Man United
Next weekend the Premier League restarts with an enormous match.
Liverpool take on Man United in the first game in the eighth round of the campaign.
Man United will arrive to Anfield joint top of the division, behind Man City on goal difference.
Liverpool, meanwhile, are down in the seventh place as another title seems to be slipping from their grasp.
Juan Mata is worried
Every Monday, Man United midfielder Juan Mata posts a new blog on his website.
Obviously, we also have to talk about our next Premier League game, in Anfield. This is one of the big games of the season without a doubt.
There’s no need to say what it means for us and for our fans, and I hope that we can play a great game and take the three points to Manchester. We will try to extend our good run of results since the season started.
I also hope that none of my team-mates has physical problems in the second game with the national teams as it was the case with Fellaini, to whom I wish a speedy recovery.
Man United’s injuries
Marouane Fellaini is likely to be out of action for at least two weeks with a knee injury picked up on Belgium international duty.
In addition, Paul Pogba will still be out of action by the time the Liverpool match comes around. The French international is out with a thigh injury.
United fans will also be sweating over the health of Phil Jones. That’s after the defender pulled out of the England squad.
Michael Carrick is also an injury concern for Jose Mourinho, while Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcos Rojo remain long term absentees.
