Jose Mourinho at the Russian World Cup

On Monday RT announced the news.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho will be at the 2018 World Cup.

Russian news outlet RT have agreed a deal for Mourinho to appear on their TV channel this summer.

Along with Man United’s legendary keeper Peter Schmeichel, Mourinho will be a pundit on RT.

How much RT paid Man United’s Mourinho

On Tuesday the Times have revealed how much Mourinho will be paid for his summer job.

It’s been confirmed that Mourinho will only appear as a guest for less than a week of the competition. The Times report:

Jose Mourinho will be paid at least £1 million for five days’ work as a World Cup pundit for Russia Today this summer.

The Times understands that the Manchester United manager rejected offers from the BBC and ITV to join their punditry teams.

Instead, Mourinho has opted to sign the lucrative deal with Russia Today (RT), the TV station part-bankrolled by the Kremlin. Details of the contract were not made public but it is understood to be worth more than £1 million.

Crystal Palace 2 – Man United 3

Man United scored a huge win at Selhurst Park on Monday night.

Having trailed Crystal Palace 2-0, Mourinho’s men turned the match around to win 3-2.

Nemanja Matic was the hero for the Red Devils as he scored a brilliant injury time winner to sink the Eagles.

Andros Townsend’s deflected shot put Palace ahead after 11 minutes. Palace extended their lead at the start of the second half with a fine breakaway goal finished by Patrick van Aanholt.

Chris Smalling got United on the board, before Romelu Lukaku equalised with 15 minutes to go.
