Jose Mourinho has opened up about Paul Pogba’s injury, and has claimed that the player might just be worn out – but that an injury is also a very real possibility.
United’s players are currently dropping like flies, and seem to be struggling with fatigue to boot, with Mourinho making it clear some of them are doing everything they can – and that others need to be doing far, far more.
“Dead he is for sure, if he’s injured or if it’s just the super accumulation of fatigue in the muscles, I don’t know.
“But as I was saying, if he cannot play Thursday he cannot play Thursday, we play another one and we don’t cry, like we didn’t today.”
United of course face Manchester City in their game in hand come Thursday night, and will need to be on the top of their game to beat Pep Guardiola’s men, who will be looking to bounce back from their loss in the FA Cup.
United are now on a roll in the league – and will have one eye on the top four, no matter how much Mourinho decides to downplay it.
