Jose Mourinho has revealed that he had to beg Real Madrid officials to allow him to leave the club as they wanted him to remain as manager.
The Portuguese boss returned to Chelsea after leaving the club as he looked to take over the Premier League again.
Though, it was not easy to leave Los Blancos according to the man himself after winning a League, a Cup and a Supercopa of Spain during his time there.
Mourinho has revealed that he almost had to beg the club to let him leave with the president, executive director, administration, and even the manager himself feeling they had put hard work into the project.
Though, Jose eventually chose to return to London before moving to Manchester United in 2016.
Speaking on leaving Madrid, Jose explained: “Everybody in the club, president, executive director, administration, and even myself, felt throughout the years that part Hard work was done and that’s why they wanted me to continue.”
“I almost had to beg them to let me out.
“That, I do not think it’s going to happen at Manchester United because I do not want to leave. “
