Tottenham vs Fulham

Spurs return to Premier League action on Wednesday evening.

The north Londoners head into the latest gameweek sitting 4th in the English top-flight, three points adrift of Liverpool.

They boast a game in hand on the Reds, though, in the form of Wednesday’s meeting with Fulham.

As such, should the Lilywhites come out on top, which appears likely, they will climb up to 3rd in the Premier League table.

As for Fulham, they have managed to remain unbeaten in their last four league outings.

All four, though, have ended as draws, with Scott Parker’s side, all told, having managed just two league wins from 15 attempts thus far this season.

Mourinho aims dig at Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil

Ahead of tomorrow’s tie, meanwhile, Jose Mourinho held his latest pre-match press conference on Tuesday.

During the presser, the Portuguese tactician discussed a number of topics, including Mesut Ozil.

The German held a Q&A on his Twitter account on Monday evening.

During the exchange, Ozil was asked if he would rather retire, or sign a contract with Spurs, to which the German responded:

Easy question. Retire!

In turn, earlier today, Jose Mourinho was inevitably drawn on the Arsenal midfielder’s comments. And it came as little surprise when the Tottenham boss opted for something of a sly dig in return:

“Who told him that Tottenham would be interested in signing him?”
