A bizarre report surrounding ongoings at Tottenham has emerged online this evening, with Jose Mourinho having seemingly landed himself in hot water with the club.
Premier League latest
As things stand, professional football remains on lockdown throughout Europe, as authorities attempt to contain the spread of COVID-19.
As of today, Belarus stands as the only country across the continent in which top-flight football continues to be played.
An update on plans moving forward in England, though, was forthcoming this past weekend.
Following a lengthy meeting, an official statement on the part of the Premier League confirmed that the resumption of professional football had been pushed back until a date when it is considered ‘safe and appropriate’ to return to action.
Crucially, however, the Premier League also made sure to reiterate their stance that the ultimate goal remains to finish out the final weeks of the domestic campaign:
‘With this, there is a combined objective for all remaining domestic league and cup matches to be played, enabling us to maintain the integrity of each competition.’
The Premier League’s overriding priority is to aid the health and wellbeing of the nation and our communities. The 2019/20 season will only return when it is safe and appropriate to do so.

Rift at Spurs?
As outlined above, however, one individual who appears keen to get a leg up on the competition ahead of the long-awaited return of domestic football in England is Jose Mourinho.
As revealed by the reliable Dan Kilpatrick of the Evening Standard, Tottenham boss Mourinho organised a small ‘training session’ with 3 of his side’s stars earlier today.
The players in question were Tanguy Ndombele, Ryan Sessegnon and Davinson Sanchez, all of whom live close to Hadley Common in Barnet, where the session took place.
Mourinho’s actions, of course, come despite social distancing guidelines, which prohibit such get-togethers.
Tottenham, for their part, are said to have been left altogether unimpressed by the decision taken by the club’s boss, though it remains unclear whether an official statement regarding the situation will be forthcoming.
#thfc Mourinho believed to have organised a “training session” with Ndombele, Sessegnon & Sanchez on Hadley Common in Barnet today. All live locally. Everyone involved has been reminded about social distancing guidelines. Safe to say club is v unimpressed.
