Jose Mourinho discusses Mauricio Pochettino’s lack of trophies at Tottenham

Man United & Tottenham’s Pochettino

Who will be the next full-time manager at Manchester United?

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer boosted his chances of getting the job following a record seventh straight win at the start of his Man United career on Saturday.

Yet, according to many, Man United’s preferred choice is Tottenham’s Mauricio Pochettino.

Can Man United manage to prise Pochettino from Spurs?

How much money will Daniel Levy demand for the Argentine coach?

As all these questions swirl around, Jose Mourinho, the former Man United manager, threw a jab in Pochettino’s direction on Saturday on beIN Sports.

Jose Mourinho’s jab at Mauricio Pochettino

Mourinho was asked to evaluate what was better at Man United: finishing second in the league or finishing sixth but winning two cups?

The Special One wasted no time giving his answer. Winning trophies is always better than not winning.

That drew Pochettino’s name into the conversation.

Since arriving at Tottenham, Pochettino may have achieved great successes but he’s yet to win a trophy.

That lead Mourinho to make the following comments about the possible next Man United boss:

He’s different than me. He thinks different than me or maybe the day he starts winning trophies he changes his communication.

I like him very much as a person and a coach, I am not being critical of him.
