Jose Mourinho confirms Gedson Fernandes will be involved vs Watford/ Inter haven’t made offer for Eriksen

Watford vs Tottenham

Saturday’s early Premier League kick-off sees Tottenham travel to Watford.

You can check out 101’s betting tips for the clash here.

Whilst Watford are still at the wrong end of the PL, their form has taken a dramatic upturn in recent weeks, with Nigel Pearson getting the Hornets on a five-game unbeaten streak in the English top-flight.

And with Spurs’ away record pretty sub-par, this game will likely prove a tough test for the north London outfit.

The Lilywhites head into the weekend’s games sat 8th in the Premier League, nine points adrift of a Champions League spot.

Mourinho on Gedson Fernandes

Jose Mourinho would hold his pre-Watford press conference on Friday.

A number of topics were discussed in the presser, one of which was Gedson Fernandes.

The Portuguese midfielder joined Spurs on an 18-month loan earlier this week.

And when asked: ‘What can the Spurs fans expect from Gedson Fernandes?’, Mourinho stated fans can expect him to be involved this weekend:

“This weekend they can expect him to be involved, starting or not but for sure involved in the team. When you get players in January, normally it’s because you need.” As quoted by football.london.

Mourinho on Christian Eriksen

Mourinho was also asked about Christian Eriksen.

The Dane is out of contract in the summer, and has been heavily linked with a move to Serie A outfit Inter Milan this month.

However, when asked: ‘Inter are confident of signing Eriksen. Are they right to be?’, the Tottenham boss claimed that Inter have not made Spurs an offer for 27-year-old yet:

“You have to ask the agent and Inter Milan because they know more than me. If they are confident, they are confident because they are ready to make us an offer, which didn’t happen yet.

“So when I see people speaking especially people with responsibilities speaking about it, I am a little bit surprised. That’s all I can say.” As quoted by football.london.
