Mourinho passes blame
Jose Mourinho has blamed the international break and some national teams for his Manchester United injury list with several players returning with problems.
It really wasn’t a great international break for the Old Trafford side.
Several of Jose Mourinho’s first-team players were injured while away, missing games against Chelsea and Juventus, which could also see them miss the game against Everton.
Those players include Diogo Dalot, Alexis Sanchez, Scott McTominay and Marouane Fellaini.
Safe to say, Jose Mourinho isn’t too happy about it.
“Some of them, they weren’t and they kept the players”
That is because he has been speaking about his injury list this week and he has isn’t too happy with some national teams.
He claimed today that while some national teams sent injured players back, others made it difficult.
“All of them [who missed the Juventus game were] in the national team,” Mourinho explained, as quoted by the Telegraph.
“We played against Newcastle and we went into the national team period in a good situation.
“Then, after two weeks, we lost Dalot in Portugal, we lost Fellaini in Belgium, we lost Alexis in Chile, we lost McTominay with Scotland.
“Some of the national teams were very professional with us, they send the players back and we could start the process early, but some of them, they weren’t and they kept the players.
“We didn’t even know the dimension and the nature of the injury, so when the players arrived here, two days before Chelsea, we have no idea of what is going on.
“But we have to deal with it and now we are trying to resolve problems step by step.”
