Fans have flooded to Twitter this evening to take aim at Chelsea midfielder Jorginho, following the Italian international’s showing during the Blues’ clash with Manchester City.
Man City 6-0 Chelsea
Pep Guardiola’s City welcomed Chelsea to the Etihad a short time ago, eager to secure 3 points in their quest to reclaim top-spot in the Premier League table.
And the Citizens subsequently went on to manage not only that this evening, but also to lay down a marker to the rest of the English top-flight courtesy of an absolutely frightening showing.
A blitzing opening half-hour from the champions saw City race out to an unassailable 4-0 lead, courtesy of Raheem Sterling, a Sergio Aguero brace, and Ilkay Gundogan.
And things only got worse for Chelsea following the break, as Aguero went on to notch his hat-trick from the penalty-spot, before Sterling added further gloss to the scoreline ten minutes from time.
0-6 – Chelsea suffered their heaviest defeat in any competition since losing 0-7 to Nottingham Forest in April 1991. Drubbing.

Unsurprisingly, Chelsea’s abysmal showing has since seen a number of the Blues’ stars singled out for criticism online, with the likes of Marcos Alonso, David Luiz and Ross Barkley having all disappointed.
However, no player was more roundly-slated by viewers than Jorginho, who looked absolutely lost in Manchester this evening.
The former Napoli man proved a passenger from start to finish, looking overly-timid with the ball at his feet, and completely off the pace when out of possession.
‘Jorginho or his job’

Jorginho is just an overrated and fortunate Wilfred Ndidi.

Jorginho is so useless, no strength, no pace, no assists, nothing, just Italian beard and a name that rhymes with actual footballers

Jorginho is out there making short passes with tears in his eyes. “I’m a regista”, he tells himself. “I’m a regista!”
City score again.

I keep being told Jorginho is instrumental for Sarriball. I can’t find him on the pitch.

@talkSPORT Jorginho is like the kid who in your Sunday morning team is the managers son gets picked every week even though all his team mates know he is the worst player that can’t run zero strength and basically does nothing #everyteamhasgotone

Jorginho is pants. I don’t want to hear an argument that he is being wasted by those around him. Absolute catpiss.
