Jordan Henderson fitness update before Liverpool vs Watford

Henderson’s injury

Jordan Henderson has this week been on international duty with England.

The Three Lions would beat USA 3-0 in a friendly that saw Wayne Rooney play his final England game.

England would also take on Croatia in their final UEFA Nations League group game.

England would come from 1-0 down to win the game and their group.

However, prior to the Croatia game, England and Liverpool centre mid Jordan Henderson would suffer a hamstring injury.

However, Henderson would still show his support for England via Instagram.

But it is good news for Liverpool as Henderson’s injury was only minor and he should be available for selection for Liverpool’s game with Watford this weekend.

Liverpool vs Watford

Liverpool take on Watford this weekend as they look to continue to battle for a spot at the top of the Premier League.

Liverpool are undefeated in the league this season after 12 games having won nine and drawn three.

However, Manchester City are still currently top of the Premier League as they have won 10 and drawn two.

So, if Liverpool do want to keep the pressure on last year’s league winners, they need to pick up all three points vs Watford.

But picking up a win vs Watford will be no easy task.

The Hornets currently sit 7th in the table and have enjoyed a solid start to their 2018/19 campaign.

In 12 league games, this season Watford have won six, draw two and lost four.
