Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has this evening provided updates on the fitness of both John Stones and Gabriel Jesus.
City vs Brighton
The English champions are set to welcome Graham Potter’s Seagulls to the Etihad tomorrow afternoon, for their 4th league outing of the season.
City bounced back from their disappointing 2-2 draw with Spurs two weeks ago last time out, by putting Bournemouth to the sword by 3 goals to 1.
A Sergio Aguero brace, either side of Raheem Sterling’s strike late in the first-half, saw the Sky Blues get their campaign back on track in style.

As things stand, though, City still trail table-toppers Liverpool by two points.
Stones & Jesus in doubt
As such, a victory over Brighton, who have picked up 4 points from their opening 3 outings of the campaign, will be viewed as an absolute must for the Citizens.
Speaking in a pre-match press conference ahead of his side hosting the Seagulls, meanwhile, Pep Guardiola this evening provided a fitness update on his squad.
The Spanish tactician has confirmed that John Stones and Gabriel Jesus, both of whom missed City’s win over Bournemouth, are ‘much better’.
Nevertheless, though, both may still may miss out tomorrow afternoon:
PEP 💬 (John Stones and @gabrieljesus33) are much better.
I don’t know if they are ready for tomorrow but they are much better.
If not tomorrow, they will be back for our game against Norwich City.
