Joao Felix & Mudryk? The latest on Arsenal’s pursuit of Atletico star

A fresh insight into the future of transfer-linked Atletico Madrid star Joao Felix has been forthcoming late on Friday evening.

Chatter surrounding the name of attacker Felix has of course come back to the fore in a major way over the course of the last couple of weeks.

This comes on the back of widespread confirmation that the Portuguese has made clear his intention to depart the Wanda Metropolitano, with the powers that be at Atleti more than happy to acquiesce to his demands.

Speculation, in turn, has quickly begun to spread, regarding where exactly Felix could end up next.

Though his stint in Spain’s capital, overall, has proven a disappointing one, the 23-year-old remains a supremely talented young footballer, with the potential to develop into one of football’s finest attackers.

And now, as alluded to above, an update on his situation has been forthcoming online.

The info comes courtesy of Dharmesh Sheth of Sky Sports, who has hinted at an imminent Arsenal offer for Felix.

According to the transfer journalist, citing sources in Portugal, the Gunners - long tipped as a potential destination for the disgruntled Atleti star - are actively pursing Felix’s signature.

This comes as Mikel Arteta and co. eye mid-season deals for both the Portuguese international and Shakhtar Donetsk standout Mykhailo Mudryk.

Manchester United, on the other hand, have decided against a move for Felix:

‘The information that I’m getting from sources in Portugal is that Arsenal are really pursuing the João Félix deal,’ Sheth began. ‘They are trying to get Felix and Mudryk.’

‘The information that I’ve been given, as it stands as well, it’s still early in the window; is that United are not going to go for Felix.’
