Jesse Lingard yet to decide where his future lies, but would like to play Champions League football with Real Madrid and PSG among his admirers

Uncertain Future

Jesse Lingard continued his incredible resurgence under David Moyes at West Ham yesterday, as his two goals helped West Ham claim all three points in a big win over Leicester City in the race for the Champions League.

West Ham will of course be hopeful of striking a deal for the player to remain at the London Stadium next season, but there is no option to buy clause in the loan deal.

It is clear that whatever price Man Utd may have had in mind in January is only going up after his displays for the Hammers. They also may very much want to bring their player back to Old Trafford.

The player himself has yet to make any comments on his future and is letting his football do the talking but ESPN’s Rob Dawson is suggesting that he wants to be playing Champions League football next season.

Dawson also suggests that Real Madrid, PSG and Inter Milan are all monitoring the situation ahead of the summer’s transfer window.

No Rice Swap

Dawson also suggests that Lingard’s representatives will not will not be used as a makeweight in any deal for Declan Rice if United want to make a move for West Ham’s England international.

West Ham will be hopeful that if they end the season in the Champions League places, that they will be in a prime position to retain his services.
