Lingard shines at West Ham
Jesse Lingard has enjoyed something of a career revival over the last few months.
The 28-year-old majorly struggled for any sort of regular action with Manchester United over the first half of the 2020/21 campaign.
He notched just three appearances for the Red Devils, all of which came in cup competitions.
As a result, it didnât come as too much of a surprise when United allowed Lingard to depart Old Trafford on loan during the winter window.
What did prove surprising, though, was just how impressive the midfielder looked with West Ham.
In 16 league outings for David Moyesâ outfit, Lingard notched nine goals and five assists, playing a key role in the Hammers securing a Europa League berth for the 2021/22 season.

Lingard eyeing Man United stay
On the back of such an impressive loan stint, West Ham’s fans were no doubt hoping to see Lingard return next term on a permanent deal.
However, a report from the Sun this weekend suggests that such a move will not be coming to fruition.
The British outlet report that:
Jesse Lingard has held a candid meeting with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and told him: My heart still belongs to Manchester.
It is added that West Ham would love to sign Lingard permanently, and that the player has not totally ruled out the possibility. However, Lingard would prefer to stay in Manchester.
