The agent of former Chelsea starlet Jeremie Boga was today questioned on the possibility of the Blues activating their buyback option on the Sassuolo standout.
23-year-old Boga is a product of Chelsea’s youth system.
However, on the back of a series of loan spells away from London over the course of the early years of his fledgling professional career, it was decided in the summer of 2018 that Boga was not ready to make the cut at Stamford Bridge, resulting in his permanent sale.
The African talent made the move to Serie A outfit Sassuolo, for a fee in the region of £3.5 million.

And, after a somewhat hit-and-miss debut campaign in Italy, Boga has since gone on to establish himself as one of the Neroverdi’s star men.
The gifted wide-man has finally begun to fulfill his unquestionable potential, with a string of stellar displays to this point in 2019/20.
Before the COVID-19 pandemic brought Serie A to a standstill, Boga had racked up 8 goals and 4 assists in 25 league appearances this season.
This haul included a sumptuous dink over Gigi Buffon during a meeting with champions Juventus in Turin back in December:

Boga’s fine form, though, has not gone at all unnoticed across Europe.
The likes of Barcelona, Tottenham, Borussia Dortmund and Valencia have all been named as keen suitors of the 23-year-old of late.
Another club tipped as a potential destination, though, have actually been Boga’s former employers, Chelsea.
The Blues are thought to hold a €15 million buyback option on the attacker, with suggestions having begun to circulate that those in charge of transfers at Stamford Bridge could be tempted into a move this summer.
As such, speaking in an interview with Calciomercato earlier today, Boga’s agent (and brother) was inevitably drawn on the future of his client, with a particular emphasis on the possibility of Chelsea activating the aforementioned clause.
Daniel Boga, though, admitted that, as things stand, he remains in the dark regarding the intentions of the Londoners:
‘At this moment, I really couldn’t say.’
Boga’s agent did, though, provide an insight into some of the clubs whom he has held discussions with over a potential transfer:
‘I had talks with Napoli, Atalanta and other European clubs.’
Finally, amid mounting speculation that AC Milan have emerged as the leading suitors for the Sassuolo wide-man, Daniel Boga added:
‘I haven’t had contact with Milan yet, so I don’t know if the reports of their interest in Jeremie are accurate.’
‘We always have to look at the sporting project, but Milan are a big club and can always be interesting.’
