Youri Tielemans & Leicester
The Telegraph on Tuesday have posted an update on Youri Tielemans joining Leicester on a full-time basis.
Tielemans moved to the King Power Stadium from Monaco in the January transfer window.
The midfielder agreed a loan deal to stay with the Foxes until the end of the season.
Tielemans has started his Leicester career with two assists in four matches.
According to the Telegraph, Leicester are looking at signing Tielemans in a permanent deal.
However the Foxes have been told they’ll have to break their club record to sign the Belgian international:
Brendan Rodgers will have to break Leicester’s transfer record and pay £40million if he moves to sign Youri Tielemans in the summer.
Rodgers is assessing his new squad following his appointment last week and the prospect of buying Tielemans outright is certain to be discussed before the end of the season.
There is a chance that sign Tielemans for cheaper.
That could happen if Monaco agree to sign Adrien Silva as part of the transfer.
Silva moved to Monaco in January as part of the Tielemans loan deal.
Jamie Vardy vs Fulham
Leicester take on Fulham this weekend in the Premier League.
Will Brendan Rodgers claim three points in his first match in the dugout at the King Power?
In a boost for the Foxes, the Telegraph believe that Jamie Vardy will be fit for the Fulham match.
Vardy was subbed out of last weekend’s defeat at Watford with a knock. However the broadsheet report:
Vardy is expected to be fit for Rodgers’ first home game as Leicester boss against Fulham on Saturday.
Vardy was taken off in the second half after a heavy collision with Watford goalkeeper Ben Foster earlier in Sunday’s 2-1 defeat, but is set to play this weekend.
