James Rodriguez to miss Everton’s League Cup clash with Man United

Everton vs Man United
Everton and Manchester United are set for League Cup action on Wednesday evening.
The pair will be vying for a spot in this season’s semi-finals.
Man United are, of course, yet to win a trophy under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and likely view this competition as their best chance of changing that.

United’s neighbours, Manchester City, have dominated the League Cup in recent times, though the Reds were actually the last side to clinch the trophy prior to Pep Guardiola’s men, back in 2017.
Everton, on the other hand, have never lifted the League Cup, but with decorated tactician Carlo Ancelotti at the helm, they too will likely see the competition as a winnable one.

Ancelotti confirms James Rodriguez will not face Man United
Ahead of his side’s meeting with United, Carlo Ancelotti held his latest press conference on Tuesday afternoon.
The Italian discussed a number of topics during the presser, one of which came in the form of the fitness of James Rodriguez.
The Colombian, who enjoyed a bright start to life at Everton, has missed the Toffees’ last three Premier League outings due to injury.
And, unfortunately for the Merseysiders, Ancelotti has, on Tuesday, confirmed that Rodriguez is set to miss out once again tomorrow night:
