A quality gesture on the part of Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere following his side’s victory over Stoke City has been doing the rounds online this evening.
The two sides went head to head at the Emirates in today’s early Premier League kick-off, with visitors Stoke desperate for 3 points in a bid to ease their growing relegation concerns.
Arsenal, meanwhile, sat a full 13 points off Tottenham for the English top-flight’s final Champions League place, with the Gunners’ focus for the remainder of the campaign having shifted to their Europa League ventures.

A dismal opening 45 minutes in North London this afternoon saw hosts Arsenal booed off by the home fans at the Emirates at the interval, a gesture which sprung the Gunners into action upon their return for the second-half.
After dominating much of the second 45, the hosts were finally rewarded in the 75th-minute, when a controversial penalty call saw Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang step up to confidently slot home past Jack Butland in the Stoke goal.
And ‘Auba’ was at it again ten minutes later, smashing home from a corner after finding himself unmarked in the middle of the Potters box.
A perfect day for Arsene Wenger’s men was capped off when substitute Alexandre Lacazette was felled in the box for another penalty for the hosts, with the Frenchman himself dispatching the ensuing spot-kick with aplomb.
And, while, in the end, it was a positive outing for those sections of Arsenal fans who made the trip to the Emirates this afternoon, one particular supporter’s day was made to be extra special by Gunners’ midfielder Jack Wilshere, as showcased below:
