Chelsea, Man United & Arsenal
The Premier League is gearing up for a frantic finish to the 2018-19 season.
Liverpool and Man City are duking it out to be the league champions.
While slightly lower down in the table, the race for the top four and a Champions League berth is revving up nicely.
Man United, now on 51 points, moved into fourth spot on Saturday following their 3-0 win at Fulham.
Chelsea are fifth on 50 points. The Blues are away at Man City today, while a win would lift them back into fourth.
As for Arsenal, who won 2-1 at Huddersfield yesterday, they are sixth on 50 points, behind Chelsea on goal difference.
Arsenal are dismissed by Graeme Souness
Greame Souness has penned his weekly op-ed for the Sunday Times.
At the tail-end of the article, Souness considers which club will finish fourth in the league.
It’s taken as read that Liverpool, Man City and Tottenham have locked down the top three spots.
Interestingly, Souness didn’t even mention Arsenal in his analysis:
It’s a straight fight between Chelsea and Manchester United for fourth now, but Chelsea will be looking over their shoulders because United are dangerous and, right now, the momentum is there with them and they are on a roll.
Chelsea will win more games with Higuain scoring goals for them, but we will have to wait and see if he can take them to fourth place.
What Unai Emery said after Huddersfield
After the win at Huddersfield, Unai Emery considered Arsenal’s top four chances:
Day 26? We are at the moment one point off Manchester United. If we ask is it easy or difficult, it’s difficult.
But we can and day 26 we are on our way. Our motivation is very great and every player wants to struggle every match and be consistent over 38 matches.
We are moving closer to the other clubs.
