Arsenal & Alexis Sanchez
Aside from Alexandre Lacazette joining Arsenal from Lyon this week, one of the big stories circling the Emirates Stadium has been claims out of Chile that Alexis Sanchez is likely to stay put.
There are very few Gooners that would argue against Alexis Sanchez being Arsenal’s best player.
However, the Chilean superstar is out of contract in just a year’s time and according to reports on Wednesday, is asking for huge money.
John Cross of the Daily Mirror reported that Alexis Sanchez is asking for £400,000 per week to stay at Arsenal; that’s £125,000 more than the current offer!
Yet, according to Chilean reports, with Bayern Munich out of the race for Alexis due to financial concerns, while Man City are yet to table a bid for the South American star, all signs are pointing to Sanchez staying at Arsenal next season.
Man City v Inter Milan
Of course, just because Man City haven’t posted an official bid for Alexis yet, doesn’t mean it’s not coming.
It’s only July 7 – there’s plenty of time left in the transfer window.
Yet, the Sky Blues may have a real challenger for Alexis, if Gazzetta dello Sport are on point, as the Italian pink paper have claimed on Friday that Inter Milan are making moves for the Gunners star.
What’s the story?
Inter have recently been taken over by Chinese company Suning, and that means they have funds for recruitment.
GdS tell their readers that Inter’s “dream” is to land Alexis, and play him up front alongside Mauro Icardi.

Sanchez, of course, knows Serie A well after his spell at Udinese.
Gazzetta further state that Inter intend to make Alexis the club’s “poster boy”, however the update fails to detail the financial package the San Siro giants are putting together to make the deal happen.
